Dimensions: 20 x 16 x 1 Artist's Statement about this work: The world is quite an amazing place when you are able to see it though the eyes of a child. A fresh perspective washes over everything and everyday scenes become quite extraordinary. My granddaughter and I were having a girls' day out, and Main Street took on a whole new look as she described everything that was happening from her perch. An ordinary scene took on the perspective of a two-year-old and was suddenly very exciting. I knew right away that I would have to capture that moment in a painting to remind myself to view the world with a fresh, appreciative eye.
