While wandering the side streets in Amsterdam I noticed a vine “wandering” up the wall of a building. Reflections of the buildings on the opposite side of the street were visible in the windows. The symmetry of the windows were contrasting with the abstract vines. I thought it would be an interesting idea to play with in a painting.
